How To Update Nexus 7 To Android 4.4.4 SlimKat Custom ROM

SlimKat Android 4.4.4 Custom ROM is finally available for Google Nexus 7 containing great features. Today we will show you how to update your Nexus 7 to SlimKat Android 4.4.4 Custom ROM. First Of All:-

§  It is very important to take a proper Backup of all your important data on your Nexus 7 before starting.

§  Download & install USB drivers on PC.

§  Go to Developer Menu and Enable USB Debugging mode on your Nexus 7.

§  Don’t forget to root your Nexus 7 and must be unlocked.

§  TWRP or CWM should be installed on your Nexus 7 for custom recovery.

§  Charged your device upto 80% before going any further.

Installation Of Android 4.4.4 SlimKat Rom On Nexus 7:-

      1.      Download the SlimKat Android 4.4.4 custom ROM firmware file and Google Apps Package for ASUS Nexus 7.

2.       Now connect Nexus 7 to your PC via its original USB data cable.

3.    Transfer the Google Apps files and firmware to Nexus 7’s SD card. When it completes, disconnect your device from the PC.

4.      Now you have to reboot your Nexus 7 into the Recovery Mode, and for this purpose you have to turn your device off and then press and hold Volume down + Volume up and Power keys altogether.

5.      Go to wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache partition for data wiping tasks, and then wipe dalvik cache.

6.      Go back to the Main Recovery Menu and choose zip from sdcard ->Install zip from SDcard. 

7.     Select the SlimKat Android 4.4.4 custom firmware file that you’ve already downloaded in 1^st step. Confirm the flashing process.

8.      After the installation of custom ROM on Nexus, choose Google Apps file and Repeat the above step.
