Wait is over. iOS 8 is in the wild for iPhone
users. One of the most desired operating system for smartphones (iPhone) is in
the market. It is expected that a large number of iPhone and iPad users will
switch to the new iOS 8. Well, battery life is an important factor in
owning a mobile device. And the capacity of a battery determines how long your device
will be available to play games and make calls etc. Now the thing is whether iOS
8 has improved battery life of iPhone
devices or not as compared to iOS 7.
Apparently the answer to this is not. Battery is largely
worse in devices having IOS 8. One reason of this can be extra features
included in iOS 8, but main reason is GM version of iOS 8.
In the
chart below you can see that only three devices seems to have improved battery
life among 8 devices most of which are old devices.
Now lets hope in iOS 8.0.1 apple will be careful in battery
optimization and it will bring some fixes for 4s issues.
